For years I have touted Scrivener as my favorite writing program. It’s organizational capabilities and formatting styles offer every writer an efficient means to structure and finish that book they have always wanted to write.
When I first began using Scrivener, there was one thing that annoyed me. After a page was filled with my (hopefully engaging) content, I seemed stuck writing at the bottom of the screen. While it isn’t the worst thing in the world, it is a pet peeve of mine to write at the bottom of the screen. I feel cramped and the key to getting writing done is removing all obstacles and friction.
Thankfully, it is easy to set what is known as Typewriter Scrolling in Scrivener. Simply go to:
Format > Options > Typewriter Scrolling
That’s all there is to it! Now grab a cup of coffee and go work on that novel of yours!
